Jungian Analyst, Psychotherapist
I am a Jungian Analyst, psychotherapist and supervisor (BJAA/bpf/WMIP) with some twenty years of clinical experience, working in private practice in London, Norfolk and online.
My path into this work has been anything but linear: I began in theology, served as an honorary part-time prison chaplain in Wormwood Scrubs and Holloway and then worked as a Pastoral Minister in an inner-city parish in London. After qualifing as a solicitor, working as a maritime and international commercial litigation lawyer in the City, I eventually closed the circle, returning to the vocation that had called me since my early twenties, and trained as a Jungian Analyst.
My clinical work has been shaped by a deep engagement with the inner life, with what is sometimes known as the individuation process – a process of transformation, healing and self-realisation. I have worked widely with trauma, especially developmental trauma and inter-generational trauma, and have a life-long interest in spirituality and the arts.

#With Ukrainian Jungians
Founded With Ukrainian Jungians (WUJ), an international organisation set up in response to the full-scale invasion on Ukraine.
WUJ supports Jungian Psychoanalysts (and also other therapists and psychologists) working in Ukraine, as well as those who are refugees, to enable them to continue to work effectively, serving their patients, clients and the wider community, in spite of their own ongoing trauma.
It now also stands with others facing erasure.
“Tonight the World” Curve Art Gallery, Barbican Centre, London — 2019
Conceived and then co-hosted with Laurie Slade, a series of three Social Dreaming Matrices hosted by the Barbican Centre in conjunction with a new art video installation by artist Daria Martin. The work was inspired by her grandmother’s dream diaries, meticulously recorded during 10 years of Jungian Analysis and maintained for 30 years, with over 20,000 pages in total. Susi Stiassni, was forced to flee imminent Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia when just a teenager.
Effie Gray: Innocence, Betrayal and the Strivings of the Soul — 2014
At the invitation of Donald Rosenfeld, former President of Merchant Ivory, produced and chaired a public symposium on the film at the Barbican Centre with producers Donald Rosenfeld and Andreas Roald and Jungian Analysts Dr Judith Woodhead, Graham Fuller, Martin Knops and Matthew Harwood.
Transforming Shame and Self-Loathing (for psychotherapists) — 2014
Produced and facilitated 2-day workshop on integrating working with the body and neuroscientifically-informed techniques for working with trauma. Led by Dr Janina Fisher. For psychotherapists of all modalities.
